“Kłodawa” is the largest and deepest salt mine in Poland. It is here that the purest rock salt in the world, with a white and unique pink colour, is mined — it is the only deposit of this salt in Europe. The Kłodawa salt deposits were created 250 million years ago and have remained untouched deep underground since then. Salt mined in Kłodawa is used as table salt, salt for the food industry, for agriculture, for the chemical industry, in road construction for winter road maintenance. Here, we also have a deposit of magnesium-potassium salt used for medicinal purposes. The extraction is carried out using the traditional mining method, which allows the natural values of Kłodawa salt to be fully preserved.
